MLB collectibles will be offered on the WAX blockchain
Today, The Topps Company announced the release of non-fungible tokens in partnership with Major League Baseball and MLB Players, Inc. The collection of NFT’s representing popular baseball players will be made available on Tuesday, April 20 at 1 PM EST.
This news comes as no surprise for us, as we’ve seen the huge interest and momentum that NBA’s TopShot has been gaining lately. The Canadian company Dapper says its NBA collectibles have rung up $500 million in sales. It has registered more than 800,000 accounts since its public beta testing phase began in October.

What kind of NFT’s will be offered?
The releases will include standard and premium collectible packs for purchase, with card rarities ranging from Common to Legendary and even single mintage Platinum Anniversary cards. Collectors will be delighted to find all types of NFT collectibles in this release. Motion graphics, nostalgic card templates, and other digital flourishes that provide deeper engagement.
